Penfield Trailwear Capsule Collection

By Tom Stutt / 26th November 2018

Founded in 1975, Penfield was designed to withstand the harsh climates and unmapped wilderness of New England’s Atlantic coastline, autumn foliage, and mountainous forests. This winter Penfield have decided to go back to their Massachusetts roots with their all-new Trailwear collection reclaiming the brand’s history by creating modern pieces that similarly focus on the same utility, durability, and functionality of their original 1970s designs.

Modern performance characteristics include waterproof fabrics, taped seams, and lightweight interior fillings to create the perfect insulating shell. While heavy-duty highlights of the collection include the Cyclone rain jacket, made from a three-layer laminated fabric with branded seam tape and the Equinox Down puffer jacket with an 80/20, 550 fill premium-power down filling.
